At Boise Combat Sports, our Judo program is built for one goal: to help students of all ages become stronger, more confident, and more disciplined — on and off the mat.

Whether you’re a parent looking to empower your child or an adult seeking a new challenge, Judo offers something truly special: Olympic-level technique, full-body fitness, and life skills that last.

What is Judo?

Originating from Japan and now practiced worldwide, Judo is the art of throws, takedowns, joint locks, and pins. It teaches control, timing, and leverage — not brute strength — making it ideal for kids and adults alike, regardless of size or experience.

Judo builds mental and physical balance, helping students learn how to stay calm, focused, and effective in high-pressure situations.

What You’ll Learn:
